So far as Tripura’s concern the large chunk of Sylheti Bengali speakers are habitat of North and Unakoti district with highest concentration in Dharmanagar and Kailashahar. However, this sylheti bengali speaking population starts dropping when we starts moving toward aouth west. In west Tripura highest number of Bengali speakers uses Dhakaiya dialect while in South people uses Brahmanbadiya and Noakhali dialect of Bengali language. Although; all these dialects comes under large umbrella of Bengali but differs significantly. Again cultural dissimilarity exists among different dialect speakes. Sometime this dissimilarity is so great that two dialect hardly understands each other (for example Noakhali dialect and Sylheti dialect). Moreover, Tripura has large number of native Kokbarak speakers who does not have any simmilarity witb Bengali population.
Religious issue is another problem. We, the people of Tripura are not quite fan of AUDF (basically shouting for Pakisthan during Indo- Pak cricket match). Religious extremism does not impress us. Barak Valley has a large population of illegal Bengladeshis, hence forming new states will give them an upper hand which ultimately increase anti India sentiment. We, the Tripurites are happy people. Both Indegenous and Bengali population are living here peacefully, we dont want to bring distrust issue.
